Signbiz CPL Premiership Finals: Marist Hockey Create History

Canterbury’s top hockey teams battled it out in the Signbiz CPL Premiership Finals 2025 which took place at Nunweek Park. Supporters witnessed history, with both the Marist Women’s Mermaids and the Marist Men’s Musketeers crowned champions in dramatic penalty shootouts.

In the Women’s Final, the Marist Mermaids took on the unbeaten Harewood Huntresses. After a tense 2–2 draw, the match went to a shootout, where the Mermaids held their nerve to secure their third consecutive CPL title.

The Men’s Final was just as intense, with the Marist Musketeers facing Carlton Redcliffs. Locked at 2–2 after full time, the Musketeers triumphed in another shootout, winning their fourth CPL title.

The day was made even more special as it marked the first time in history that Marist has won both the Men’s and Women’s CPL titles in the same season. Nunweek Park turned into a sea of green as Marist supporters celebrated the double victory.

Signbiz is proud to support the CPL Premiership and congratulate all players, coaches, and officials who made this season one to remember.
