Rugby Pole Pad Printing for Dan Carter’s UNICEF Visit

Back in May our team at Signbiz Hawke’s Bay dropped everything to screen print the rugby pole pads for Hot Shot Sports who had a unique project on the go. These pads were heading to the island nation of Kiribati, where brand new rugby and soccer goals were being prepared for the community.

In August, All Black legend Dan Carter visited Kiribati as a UNICEF ambassador to raise awareness for his DCT10 Fund, focusing on the urgent need for clean water, sanitation, and hygiene across the Pacific. The plan was for him to kick the very first goal with the new posts, but due to weather and shipping delays, unfortunate the equipment didn’t arrive in time.

By September the goals had reached the Atoll, and have since been installed by the local rugby and soccer clubs.

Now the fields are alive with children playing daily, and our work is proudly part of it.
