The business grew rapidly to meet the expanding client base and fulfil local & national projects. Consequently, it became very apparent that Signbiz needed to offer the same product, quality, service and price nationally, that they had offered so expertly at local level. Clients needed the option to liaise with one person and be guaranteed the exact same result throughout the country, without any risk to their brand. As a result, the search for reliable partnerships in the major centres in New Zealand began.
At the outset, it was very apparent that not all signage companies are created equal. Signbiz initially struggled with various signage providers at national level to offer the brand protection, specific timeframes and high standards that our customers deserved. It was imperative that Signbiz had to be able to control a national roll-out, independently, with full respect to the customer. For that reason, the decision was made to create the Signbiz Limited Group.
Since then, Signbiz has grown into the National company we are today, boasting 9 offices and our own production houses throughout New Zealand. We employ over 100 staff members in the group, operating and communicating as one cohesive team while sharing expertise, resources and experience.
Over the years we have welcomed Regional Managers & Shareholders, meaning that each person you deal with at management level has the same invested interest as Jim and Paul have had from the beginning; to deliver a quality job and have satisfied clients. Shayne in Auckland and Colin in Wellington both have a long and rich history in Signage, bringing to the table great skill and best-practice knowledge.
On February 1 2021 the Biz family grew once more. This time including the incredibly strong teams from Hawkes Bay Signs, Central Otago Signs and Concept Signs. With Marty Bartlett, Alana Grace and Fran Macdonald at the helm of the newly created ‘Signbiz Hawke’s Bay’, ‘Signbiz Hutt Valley’ and ‘Signbiz Southern Lakes’, respectively, we attained our TRULY NATIONAL Status. An additional Branch has also recently been Opened in Alexandra for extra support in the South.
When it comes to projects outside these (vast) main areas, and depending on client wishes, we take the “We have wheels and will travel” approach. For any other assignments, we have used our 10 years of experience to build up a network of trusted, like-minded installers who we work closely with.
The experiences gained from our initial humble business start-up have enabled Signbiz to relate to new, small businesses and their growth needs in terms of marketing strategies and developing tailored, bespoke signage. We haven’t forgotten about the small guy and our team greatly enjoys working along-side and watching our customers grow at all levels. That said, we take on massive projects with confidence and offer a complete package from initial design through to installation and signage maintenance.
